How Satya Nadella Listens to Hour-Long Podcasts in Just Minutes

There is always a debate about balancing work and personal life, especially when holding a high-level position. However, Microsoft’s CEO Satya Nadella works 100 hours a week, attends various events, and regularly listens to podcasts. But Nadella doesn’t spend hours listening to long podcasts. Instead, he uses Microsoft’s AI-powered chatbot, Copilot, to quickly grasp the key points of lengthy podcasts within minutes.

Satya Nadella has shared that when using Copilot to listen to podcasts, he first uploads the transcript of his favorite podcast to the Copilot app on his iPhone. Then, on his way to the office, while sitting in the car, he asks the voice assistant for a summary of the podcast’s discussed content. As a result, instead of listening for a long time, he gets the main points of the podcast within minutes.

Satya Nadella regularly uses 10 AI agents alongside Copilot for his daily tasks. He relies on AI to get summaries of messages sent in Outlook or Teams, make quick decisions, and prepare for various meetings. These AI agents act like his “Chief of Staff.”

Nadella prefers to see AI technology as a collaborator rather than a competitor. Recently, when the Erawn model developed by Chinese research institute DeepSea was released, he instructed Microsoft’s team to quickly integrate it into Microsoft’s cloud platform.
